Bora

Bora originates from close-up photographs of the wind rose at the end of Molo Audace in Trieste (Italy), captured under dazzling sunlight but in the complete absence of wind. Through inversion and digital reworking, the fragments of stone and metal transform into abstract fields of color and fluid forms, as if traversed by invisible currents.

In this series, light becomes a substitute presence: it acts as wind, simulating what is absent. Bora is a work on the liminal wind, a phenomenon born from the interplay between presence and lack, between natural force and perceptual imagination. The series extends the artist’s research on light as an agent of transformation, staging its metamorphosis into movement, breath, and intangible matter.
