The Square

The Square departs from dozens of layered photographs taken in overcrowded tourist sites across Italy — public spaces saturated beyond their function.

Through digital layering, architecture dissolves into abstract planes of color, movement, and texture. Individual forms collapse into statistical mass. What remains is a surface vibrating with density — a topography of presence so compressed that meaning disappears into it.

The square format is deliberate: a reference to both the compositional frame and the piazza, the public space that has traded gathering for throughput.
