Theorists of complex systems call this the edge of chaos: the boundary between order and disorder where the richest structures emerge, where life is possible, where information is densest.

Every work in Genesi began as a question: can light create?
Biology offers one answer. Ultraviolet radiation is the engine of evolution — when it traverses DNA, it mutates it. These controlled errors, accumulated over billions of years, produced every living form on Earth. Creation, in nature, is an algorithmic process: rules, variations, selection. I applied this principle to the digital universe.
After the exhaustive cycle of Genesi, I found myself returning to these words. In a universe that drifts naturally toward disorder and heat death, the act of creating is a small, quiet absurdity. I am pushing a boulder of information up a hill of noise, fully aware that entropy is a patient force that will eventually reclaim every bit of order I try to establish.
Every work I make is the fossil of a decision.
Printed, framed, hung to a gallery wall: all of these gestures are evidence of an event that has already occurred. What interests me is the invisible architecture that precedes them: the system of thought and the operational process that makes a work not just possible, but necessary.
The Compass of Light is the operational core of my research. It exists because freedom, without structure, is indistinguishable from noise.
